With assistance from Heather Erico-and a VERY patient customer- we were able to get the person refusing to leave to help carry groceries outside. The patient was loaded into their car with their spouse and I followed them home making sure they were settled. Situation was handled without stressing patient.

My Firefighter partner Lt Wallace and I have driven around the Island quite a bit together as he is familiarizing himself with the area. We are both still noticing that there are many homes without clearly visible house numbers. In the event of an emergency it is extremely important to have a house number visible so we can easily locate you. I would also like to remind everyone that if you are in need of help (emergency or not) the fastest route to get us is by calling 911 on a land line or 874-8575 or 874-8574 from a cell phone. That will get you to a dispatcher who will take down your information and they will then contact us directly.
