ride to ferry, instead of waiting ran up Welsh falling and running into people finally arrested for

indecent conduct.

1630 Report of juveniles yelling obscenities at passerby John Mehlhorn summonsed for OWL

1645 Report of Vehicle driving erratically, vehicle located parked on Island ave

1700 Report of problem at 1 Welsh, Warned Abdi Osmen for yelling threats to Male on pier,

1705 Report that Abdi Osmen and other Lewiston residents had been causing problems at

Jones Landing and had been banned

1710 Observed 2 males pull bottle hidden in bushes at sewer treatment plant, all subjects

warned DIP

1720 Assist citizen with recovering lost ring

1725 Fight between Abdi Osmen and the Jamele Peterkin(male who had been threatened

earlier) Abdi been knocked out and had cut on hand, unclear it Abdi had thrown bottle and cut

hand when fell or had swung bottle and cut hand when broke. No witness came forward, no

one wanted to be victim, Medcu arrived transported Abdi Osmen who jumped from ambulance

in route to Maine Med. Report taken

0700 Reported for duty with overtime Officer Knudson and Firefighter Lt.

Overtime Officers Cote and Foss reported for duty at 1530 and 2130 hrs.

House chores and equipment checks

Checked the parking lot for violations, any parking issues were cleared up before they became a

problem.

Gave SA to the island for underage golf cart drivers, stopped one driver who looked underage,

one cart before it was underway that was overloaded, one cart that was about to drive away

with a child in the drivers lap.

Gave SA to the ferry area due to large numbers of people and vehicles

Assisted with the Clamshell road race

Several calls for parties and fireworks, all fireworks calls were GOA on arrival or being

controlled by remote control and owners that could not be identified.

Patrolled the Island

0700 hours:  Shift change. Report to duty with Lt Wallace.

0715 hours: Vehicle maintenance and inspection.

0745 hours: Special attention to Welch St. lot.  

0900 hours: Walking trails/beach patrolled with ATV.

1000 hours: Parking ticket issued on Welch St.

1130 hours: Report of people digging up and taking rocks from middle of road of upper Central Ave.  Suspects were unable to be located.

1400 hours: Barking dog Oak at Greenwood.  Dog was quiet upon arrival.  Owner not home.

1430 hours: Officer Bomba second Officer

2130 hours: Officer Knight second Officer

2210 hours: Barking dog, Island/Trefethen.  Owner spoken to and was cooperative.  

Monitored ferry traffic throughout day.

Met ferry as time permitted.

Patrolled Island  throughout day.
