1430 - met ferry.  Very busy ferry.  Aprox. 50 people didn't make it.

1530 - met ferry.

1640 - spoke with a resident about a missing boat registration.

1750 - met ferry.

1920 - patrolled island and met 1930 ferry.

2020 - responded with FD to 75 City Pt. Rd. for an audible smoke alarm sounding.  Front door open and left message with owner of home.

2115 - checked DPW property and met 2130 ferry.

2230 - patrolled back shore of island.

0820 - patrolled island.

1000 - spoke with resident at Island and Welch about his vehicle.  Taken from his home last night with out his permission and ended up on car the ferry lane.  Had damage to front door.  Report taken.

1015 - Kids race.  Went very well.

1030 - Adults race.  Also went very well.  No issues.

1230 - met ferry.

1400 - patrolled island and met 1430 ferry.

1530 - met ferry.

1600 - Medcu run to The Inn at Peaks for a woman who fell and hit her head.  Transported to fire boat with out incident.

1630 - Assisted FD with cleaning up/maintenance ambulance.

1750 - met ferry.

1900 - patrolled island and met 1930 ferry.

2030 - met ferry and patrolled island.

2125 - Medcu run to 111 Central Ave.  Patient transported to fire boat with out incident.

2245 - met ferry and end of shift.

0930 - met ferry.

1050 - parking complaint around Island Ave/New Island Ave.  Complaint was for vehicles parked legally for longer than 72 hours.  Spoke with our Cadet, Raven, and she identified a vehicle that does spend most of its time on Island Ave., but the owners live there.  She stated that although it might be on Island Ave. most of the time, the owners seem to a good job of moving the vehicle around, so it's not in one spot for three days in a row.  It's an area we'll pay special attention to.

Police Tip

Please make sure that medication are well marked and in a safe location.  If possible assist older family members with their medication to ensure proper type and dose.

1020 - spoke to a resident about a motor vehicle accident that occurred last week.

1130 - met ferry and patrolled back shore.

1230 - met ferry.

1400 - patrolled island and met 1430 ferry.

1530 - assisted FD with swapping out keys to the library.

1645 - met ferry.

1700 - responded to area of Brackett and Island for a loose dog.  I arrived to find the owner with the dog.

1725 - medical walk-in.  Juvenile with a lacerated finger.  Treated at station house and released to his parents.

1920 - patrolled island and met 1930 ferry.

2030 - met ferry.

2130 - met ferry.

2200 - patrolled back shore.

***Please remember to always check with us when you want to have a cooking fire on the beach/rocks.  There is a permit that needs to filled out, and also it informs us as to where the fire is.  This allows us to get to the scene as quickly as possible in case of an emergency.
