1407- Centennial at City Point 911 hangup call-mapped out into the water-Aucocisco headed through Diamond Pass at same time with a medical emergency-PFD responding-no one located in the area.

While on a medical call today we noticed, yet again, that there are a large number of homes that are not clearly marked with a house number. Save yourself and possibly your neighbor by putting up clearly visible house numbers!

1415 - responded to Legion for an audible alarm.

1420 - dispatch canceled me before my arrival, stating alarm company called back and stated they were all set.

1530 - met ferry and patrolled island.

1750 - met ferry.

1920 - checked DPW property and met 1930 ferry.

2030 - met ferry.

0730 House chores and vehicle inspections

Medical call to the America Legion club, service provided no transport

Followed up with the salvage yard, reason abandoned vehicles. Finalizing the plan for removing them from the island.

Installed three doorbells in the station.

Tested the fire alarm system here at the station and fixed a few issues.

Patrolled the island and met ferries throughout the day as duties permitted.

 

 

Safety Tip

With the cold weather coming soon, be prepared with salt/ice melt and sand for your walkways.

1400 - made contact with an individual who was asking for money and cigarettes at the ferry line.  Identified and he informed me that he was leaving on the 1430 ferry.

1430 - met ferry.

1630 - patrolled island and met 1645 ferry.

1750 - met ferry.

1930 - met ferry.

2030 - checked Lion's Club.

Lost dog reported, new adoption dog unfamiliar with the island ran off.  The hound was located and the search called off.

Domestic assault reported on Central Ave, one arrest made report taken. Thank you to the concerned citizens for your help and understanding during this incident.

Safety tip

Cold weather is coming! Please remember to bring in your pets. It doesn’t take long for pets to be seriously injured in cold weather.

-Have peace of mind when you're away. Inform a trusted neighbor of travel plans. Have him or her collect mail and other deliveries. Don’t share your plans with strangers. Leave shades in their normal positions. Put 2 or more lights on a timer. Use them daily, not just when you're away.
