Removed equipment from ladder 12 for repair work up town
Met the Ferry throughout the day Patrolled the Island
School visit for national walk to school day and talked about safety issues and the good results
from walking to school.
Attended the Maine Island Trails Association lecture at the Community Center
Checked the island for possible candidates for the upcoming abandoned vehicle tow

Hurricane season has arrived and the time to prepare for storms is now as it appears that one is heading this way. Current weather models show Matthew coming up the east coast.
Water, batteries, flashlights, non-perishable food and candles are all good items to have on hand in case they are needed. You can find more information at http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/prepare/ready.php
