1817- golf cart w/teenager hanging off side stopped on Island @ Centennial warning issued to driver.

0940 - responded to Seashore Ave. on the back shore, passerby stated they witnessed a young operator driving a golf cart.  Gone on arrival.

1130 - met ferry.

1215 - patrolled island and met 1230 ferry.

1430 - met ferry.

1530 - patrolled island and met ferry.

1645 - met ferry.

1750 - met ferry.

1900 - patrolled island and met 1930 ferry.

2030 - met ferry.

2130 - met ferry.

2210 - checked DPW property.

2220 - checked Lions Club.

Tip of the day..while driving around in the bed of a pick up truck or in the back of a golf cart you can not ride around standing up on the vehicle.!!!

0700 - arrived on island.

0720 - patrolled island and met 0800 ferry.

0930 - met ferry.

0940 - responded to area behind 89 Central for a animal moaning/crying.  Residents met me on scene.  We couldn't locate or hear anything.  I informed the residents to call if it occurs again.

1005 - 911 hang-up call in area of Crescent Street.  Drove through area, nothing to note.  Nobody around.

1025 - dispatch wanted me to call a resident dealing with a bee hive on their property.  I made contact and advised them on what to do. 

1130 - met ferry.

1230 - met ferry.

1405 - patrolled island and met 1430 ferry.

1530 - met ferry.

1640 - Tank 12 check with FD personnel at DPW.

1700 - responded to area of Seashore and Whitehead for a motor vehicle accident involving golf cart and a 12 year old boy.  Supposedly, the golf cart operator fled the scene.  They were all gone on our arrival.  Spoke with numerous parties in the area and found out the boy was with family at the time of accident and they spoke with the operator of golf cart at the scene and exchanged information.  Apparently, the boy was fine.  Dispatch attempted numerous times to get in contact with the original complainant.  Dispatch advised that the complainant was not answering their phone.  We wanted to make contact with the child to ensure he was ok.

1900 - checked area of City Point Rd. for two dogs that were on leash but owners had difficulty controlling.  Complainant came to the station house upset that her dog, that was also on leash was almost attacked by these two dogs.  Unable to locate the two females walking the dogs.

2030 - met ferry.

2130 - met ferry.

2210 - patrolled island and met 2245 ferry.

2305 - responded to basketball court by school for a loud group playing basketball.  Made contact with the three kids and removed them from court with out incident.

***Quick reminder***Remember to check with PD and FD personnel when planning to have a small cooking fire.  It's great that we know the exact location so in case of emergency, we can be there as quickly as possible.  Please remember that cooking fires on the rocks must be below the high tide mark.

Be aware of where you park your vehicle-even when it's raining. Intersections are marked "No Parking" due to visibility and safety concerns. Your car will be ticketed.
