0700 hours: Shift change. Report to duty with Capt Thompson.
0715 hours: Vehicle maintenance and inspection.
0745 hours: Special attention to Welch St. lot.
0900-1100 hours: Patrolled trails/beaches with Gator
11:10 hours: Provided information to party regarding civil issue (City View Rd)
1400 hours: Report of dog in hot vehicle outside of Hannigans. Upon arrival, owner returned.
2100 hours: Report of large backyard fire on Oakland Ave. Fire determined to be reasonable.
2200 hours: Report of Party on Whitehead St. Party had dispersed upon arrival.
2220 hours: Picnic point had 3 fires without permits. All three were told to extinguish.
0000 hours: Fire on beach of 200 Seashore. Had the individuals put out fire (after 2300 hours/no permit).
0020 hours: Fire on picnic point. Had it extinguished.
Monitored ferry traffic throughout day.
Met ferry throughout the day as time permitted.
Patrolled Island throughout day.
All fires on beach:
- need a permit
-have to be small and contained
-need a water source to be extinguished
-have to be out by 11:00 pm.
