0700 - arrived on island.
0800 - met ferry and patrolled island.
0845 - responded with Officer Reagan and K9 Trixie to the Peaks Elementary
School for a show and tell/demonstration with the students. Officer Reagan
answered questions for the students and explained the duties of a police dog.
The kids loved it. There are a couple of pics uploaded on the Portland Police Facebook page.
1130 - patrolled island and met 1230 ferry.
1305 - made note of silver Chevy pick-up, license plate commercial 718-979
and red Dodge Dakota pick-up with license plate Maine 3774UD. Both vehicles
parked in Welch St. lot. Vehicles were moved from prior location in lot. 72
hour parking limit initiated.
1430 - met ferry.
1530 - met ferry.
1630 - patrolled island and met 1645 ferry.
1750 - picked up FD and CMP for class on island about electrical/down wire
safety class.
1800 - attended class at Community Center.
2030 - transported units back to fire boat.
2130 - met ferry.
***Have neighbors/friends pick up your newspapers and mail if you are going
to be away for awhile. It's a easy and sure sign that nobody is home. It makes
your home a easy target for a burglary.
