Do you have
expired prescriptions on your shelves which could benefit from spring cleaning?
The Portland Police Department at 109 Middle Street accepts outdated unused
prescription  medications in tablet form twenty-four hours a day.  The meds must
be in the original container.
No liquids or
over-the-counter drugs are accepted.  These can be disposed of in household
trash if they are diluted or absorbed by coffee grounds, cat litter or dirt, and
placed in a container.
It is important to
keep such meds away from children, and you will help protect our environment by
disposing of them safely.
