-The most effective way to protect yourself and your home from fire is to identify and remove fire hazards. 60 percent of house fire deaths occur in homes with no working smoke alarms. During a home fire, working smoke alarms and a fire escape plan that has been practiced regularly can save lives.

0830 - assisted in removing fire/medcu apparatus from bay because of work being performed in the station house bay.

0920 - attempted to make contact with residents from Island Ave and Sunset lane for a past property line dispute.  Negative contact with each party.

1100 - met ferry.

1135 - responded to 181 Island Ave. for a smoke detector alarm going off.  Made contact with owner, all set.

1220 - patrolled island.

1430 - assisted in putting fire/medcu apparatus back into bay as work is complete for the day.

1545 - patrolled island.

1735 - spoke with resident on Island Ave. about on going property line dispute with neighbor.

1750 - met ferry.

2030 - met ferry.
