0700-On shift

0800-Met boat Firefighter shift change

0945-Met boat

1000-Met boat/ routine patrol. Complaint of loose dog bothering homeowner and smaller dogs. Tried to locate the problem to no avail.

1145 Met boat/women reported a stolen golf cart, no report not stolen.

1200-Trained new FF with ladder truck

1300-Filled water tank at the community garden

1445-Met boat/routine patrol

1500-Report of lost /stolen bike located no report

1545-Met boat/driver training with FF

1700-Met boat

1800-Volunteer Fire department meeting at the station

1945-Met boat

2045-Met boat/routine patrol

2145-Met boat/routine patrol.

2250-Met boat

2330-Loud party call in the area of 650 Island Ave along with Battery Steele. Both calls unfounded. Several fireworks seen going off on Diamond Island. Water to deep to address that complaint.

2355-Met last boat/fireworks in the area of Hadlock cove. Stopped when we arrived to the area.

Officer Rose, Officer Frazier, Firefighter Gordan


Over time 7-7-12

2300-Report of fireworks and tree fire in the area of 625 Island Ave. Suspected person involved was intoxicated and uncooperative with officers and firefighter. Neighbors were very scared and homes were full of smoke. Sadly not enough evidence present to charge with a crime.



2355-Met boat/ the last of 4 weddings left the island, no complaints

2400-Routine patrol/Report of a missing 13 year old black lab on the back shore. Returned home around 0230 in good spirts.

0745-Medical call island Ave, woman feeling faint while jogging possible dehydration. Transported to Maine Medical Center for further evaluation.


***Tip 2. Drink plenty of fluids throughout the day, warm temperatures and exercise can lead to dehydration. Dizziness, nausea, headaches and weakness are some signs and symptoms to look out for.

07-08-12

0800- Met boat/overtime officer on duty and firefighter swap. Heavy vehicle traffic heading off island.

0930- Met boat

1000-training firefighter with ladder 12/ filled community garden with water


***Spoke to a women who was attempting to let her 13 year old daughter drive a golf cart down Island Ave during boat time. Both seemed shocked to learn that it was against the law and was probably not a good idea in general. As an addition a reminder about children in seatbelts and not holding down cargo in the rear of the truck.


1130-Met boat/routine patrol

1230-Met boat/ large crowd for Jone's Landing

1240-Medical call for a women who crashed her bike. Transported to Maine Medical Center

1300-Assisted Jone's Landing staff with and ID check, questionable ID and denied entry

1500-Responded to Jone's Landing for a report of 5 men fighting. Security staff refused to serve an unruly patron, friends got involved. Staff did a good job with the problem prior to our arrival. Suspects located and escorted off the island via CBL and overtime police officers. Officers continued enforcement down front until the 1800 ferry when most of the remaining party goers left the island.

2045-Met boat/ checked on several cooking fires around the island

2145-Met boat/reviewed locations around the island with the firefighter that might pose tactical challenges for them when confronted with fire or medical situations.

2255-Met boat all seemed quiet

0700- arrived on the island

0800- checked the ferry, report of people riding off the back of golf carts in the area of welch St.. island ave

0900- checked the ferry, barking dog complaint in the area of city point rd

1000- checked the ferry

1100- checked the ferry, had complaints about slow access into and out of the welch St. parking lot

1200-checked the ferry, very long line of vehicles in the ferry line

1300- patrolled the back of the island

1400- checked the ferry line, report of items taken from the CBL drop off area on welch St.., picked up the extra coverage officer

1500- found item turned in, owner was located and came to the station and picked the item up

1600- checked the ferry, patrolled, checked the area around the school

1700- checked the ferry, patrolled

1800- checked the ferry, patrolled the area around central ave

1900- checked the ferry

2000- checked the ferry, fire works call in the area of 120 Seashore ave, patrolled

2100- checked the ferry

2200- checked the ferry, checked the lions club, patrolled, shift change for the extra coverage officers

2300- checked the ferry, checked the community center

1000 made a few "suggestions" to those in the ferry line

1145 spoke to resident allowing childred to stand up in the back of their golf cart.

1230 911 hang up call on pleasant ave

located missing bicycle (i think) owner was called to see if it was his..

1300 spoke to parent teaching their daughter to drive the family golf cart on island ave

1315 cbl ran extra car ferry

1345 flagged down by three young ladies on back shore needing a ride to the front of the island (medical issue)

there are a few islanders who have been asked to register their vehicles who seem hesitant to do so...

i would rather you spend your funds to register your vehicle than give your money to the state...and still have to register your car...

2130 attended fireworks display down front (pretty good show, but light attendance)

2230 met ferry

2300 large tree limb fell on oakland ave... electric meter and weatherhead damaged on residence

cmp notified ... waited with pfd for cmp to arrive

0100 cmp arrived and cleared the issue (thank you lenny b)
