0700 - arrived on island.
0800 - met ferry.
0930 - patrolled island and met 0945 ferry.
1100 - met ferry.
1230 - met ferry and patrolled island.
1405 - engine 12 run to 60 Centennial for an alarm sounding.  Contractor disabled the alarm.  All set.
1530 - met ferry.
1645 - met ferry.
1750 - met ferry and patrolled Central Ave.
1835 - responded to 67 Pleasant Ave. to make contact with a subject of a vehicle accident that occurred on the main land.
1930 - met ferry.
2030 - met ferry.
2115 - checked DPW property and met 2130 ferry.

***Be careful walking down by the ferry.  DPW has been sanding/salting down there, but as it's getting colder, it seems to be freezing up.***

1100- assisted with shoveling Fire Hydrants
1230-met the ferry, checked the area around the school
1430-met the ferry, patrolled
1530-met the ferry, checked the Community Center
1645-met the ferry, patrolled
1750-met the ferry, patrolled
1930-met the ferry, checked the Lions Club
2130-met the ferry, checked the Community Center
2230-met the ferry, patrolled around the island
 
   Tip of the day......While driving around...use caution on corners where the snow banks remain high, and visibility remains low!!!!

0700 - arrived on island.
Due to heavy snow fall and wind conditions, CBL suspended all ferry service until further notice.
1000 - patrolled island.  No vehicles were out driving.  Bad driving conditions.
1240 - Along with FD, removed a down wire from 822 Seashore Ave.
1250 - transported officer O'Connor down to ferry.  CBL left Peaks and returned to the mainland.
1640 - CBL announced all ferry service for the rest of the day was suspended.
1740 - patrolled island. Nothing going on.
1945 - patrolled island.
2330 - patrolled island.

***Be careful shoveling.  Make sure to take numerous breaks, and drink plenty of fluids.***

Tip of the day....with the heavy snow....check exhaust pipes around your house to avoid potential carbon monoxide exposure.

1020- assisted pushing broken down motorist out of road

1250- DPW for tire repair
1430- met ferry-shift change w/Ofc Hawley

Remember to leave extra time for parking and walking to the boat when the weather is bad. Folks trying to run on a snowy road in order to catch the boat is a recipe for a fall.

2200 passerby noticed the front door wide open of a Seashore residence.  The newly installed front door was clear glass.  The building was fine
2300-0001 twelve cars issued parking tickets for ignoring the parking ban
 

Please use the sidewalks whenever possible, especially at night.

1000 a couple of walkers discovered a baby seal on back shore, the animal did not appear to be in distress. Marine mammal hotline notified
