  5. 1100 Prepared training site at DPW for the afternoon SCBA consumption testing
  6. 1230 Picked up in town Firemen
  7. 1300 Reported to DPW for SCBA consumption testing
  8. 1530 Returned to station and cleaned equipment
  9. 1800 Attended  Volunteer Fire Department meeting
  10. Met ferries through the day as scheduling permitted

Training

  1. DPW for the afternoon SCBA consumption testing
  2. Attended  Volunteer Fire Department meeting
     Now is a good time to make sure that your house numbers are visible from the roadway.  If your house is not numbered, or the numbers are not clearly visible, please install reflective numbers at least 6" in height.  This will help to ensure that emergency personnel will locate you as quickly as possible in the event that you need assistance.

1215 - patrolled Seashore Ave. and met 1230 ferry.
1430 - met ferry.
1530 - met ferry.
1620 - patrolled Central Ave. and met 1645 ferry.
1750 - met ferry.
1930 - met ferry.
2015 - patrolled island and met 2030 ferry.
2100 - responded to area of 50 Spruce for a strong odor of propane.  Leak was located in a fuel truck.  Owner contacted and addressed the problem.  Cleared scene at 2205 hrs.

0750 - witness statement taken from victim at ferry landing.  Report all ready taken.

1215 - patrolled Brackett Ave.  No Speeders.

1430 - met ferry and was relieved by Officer Connolly.

1450 hours: Westbrook Police called to inform that someone had called them and said they were locked out of what sounded like the "Peaks Island School",  Responded to the school.  Unable to locate anyone.

commuters may want to park their cars down front a few minutes before the ferry arrives
those who wait till the last second often find themselves paying for "premium parking"
spaces, these include, no parking any time, no parking here to corner, handicapped parking only...$30-$200 for five minutes doesn't seem like a good deal to me.
