0700- shift change w/Ofc Rose-PFD shift change-patrolled Island
0800- met ferry-patrolled Island
0835- Sargent Rd-CMP called reference phone conversation for check the well being-unfounded
0945- met ferry-fueled cruiser
1050- met ferry-patrolled Island
1120- 284 Seashore w/Engine 12 for alarm sounding-low battery/water issue
1215- Inn on Peaks-Engine 12 Knox box update
1230- met ferry-patrolled Island
1430- shift change w/Ofc Hawley
 

Along with the warmer weather will come outdoor activities-please remember to use proper safety gear-i.e. bicycle helmets-while recreating

  1. 0645 Reported for duty with FF Wallace
  2. 0730 House chores and equipment check
  3. 0815 Met ferry, Spoke to two concerned citizens about the new traffic enforcement details. They were both in favor but wanted a little clarification on a few things.
  4. 0930 Met ferry and addressed a street closing complaint, no issues found.
  5. 1100 Met ferry and patrolled island
  6. 1230 Met ferry and ran a speed/traffic detail on Island Ave, Very little traffic with no violations found.
  7. 1530 Met ferry and assisted and elderly person with a transportation issue.
  8. 1745 Met ferry and picked up members of the fire department for CERT training.
  9. 1815 Attended CERT training
  10. 1945 Met Ferry and dropped of Fire department
  11. 2045-2300 Met ferries, Heavy rains no report of outages
  12. Met ferries through the day as scheduling permitted

0700 - arrived on island.
0800 - met ferry and patrolled island.
0920 - station house maintenance.
0945 - met ferry.
1100 - met ferry.
1210 - patrolled back shore and met 1230 ferry.
1315 - spoke with a resident who wanted to obtain a burn permit.
1430 - met ferry.
1515 - met ferry and patrolled island.
1645 - met ferry.
1750 - met ferry.
1920 - patrolled island and met 1930 ferry.
2030 - met ferry.
2130 - met ferry.

***Please come by the station house if you are interested in obtaining a burn permit for the day.  Permits are only issued when the state deems it safe.

When outside doing activities remember to drink plenty of water..dehydration is one of the main causes of "feeling poorly"

0720 - summons written in Welch St. lot for vehicle parked in handicap space with out placard.
0800 - met ferry.
0945 - met ferry.
1015 - patrolled island and met 1100 ferry.
1230 - met ferry and picked up FD personnel for training.
1505 - concluded training.
1645 - met ferry.
1750 - met ferry.
1930 - responded to 683 Island Ave. for a resident that was bit by a beaver.  Victim treated at scene, and beaver was let go as it did not show any signs of rabies.
2130 - met ferry.
