Ladder truck repairs/maintenance completed

Patrolled the island and met ferries throughout the day

Checked the island for abandoned vehicles that will be towed off the island soon. List started and on the desktop for future additions. The vehicles located are all unregistered and parked on the side of the roadway.  Most are not obstructing the road right now but soon will be once the plowing season starts.  These are the same parking locations that we deal with EVERY winter. I located 8 vehicles that need to be dealt with. Owners could not be located at this time.

Safety Tip

If you know of an abandoned vehicle on the island please let the island police department know where it is and who the last known owner of the vehicle was.

Any unregistered vehicle parked on a city street is subject to towing as is any vehicle misusing the parking lot.
