Blog 1/5/12- Officer Lauterbach
0700 - Arrived on island.
0800 - Picked up my firefighter partner.
0845 - Patrolled around island.
0945 - Met ferry. 
1025 - While driving on
Central Ave.
I was flagged down by a pedestrian asking me what the police dept. was doing about the beaver population on the island.  I informed her that                             unfortunately I didn't think there was anything we can do about it.  She wasn't                             happy with that answer and stated "hopefully the police dept. will care when we're swimming on
Central Ave.
because of the rising water levels".
1100 - Met ferry.
1150 - Drove around perimeter of island.
1230 - Met ferry.
1400 - Drove around island and met both the 1430 and 1530 ferry.
1650 - Followed up with a victim from a recent criminal mischief that occurred to
136 Island Ave.
                                         Will speak to Sgt. Goodale about results.
1905 - Drove through
Brackett Ave.
1930 - Met ferry and gave special attention to new construction sites.
2030 - Met ferry.
2130 - Met ferry and gave special attention to
209 Central Ave.
(recent burglary)
2225 - Walked next door and made sure community room and library were secure.  I shut off the             lights in the lobby.
2245 - Drove around island and met 2245 ferry.

spoke to island resident about taking their car uptown for repairs wiith an island registration.

2000 flagged down on seashore by dog walker pointed out an injured deer near reed ave... watched deer for approx 30 mins  injured but didnt need to be destroyed...

1310- report of middle school aged kids with a handgun chasing another kid down Central Ave. Responded and discovered kids with Airsoft pistol. Parents contacted and issue resolved. Parents will contact PD in the future if the kids will be playing with replica handguns.
