1045- DPW w/Lt Zsiga to pick up Tank 12
1100- met ferry-patrolled Island

1600- put notices on unregistered golf carts parked on Island Ave
1645- met ferry
1730- 359 Island Ave for complaint of damage done to tree seedling-possibly by neighbor 14-4564
1830- Attended PIC meeting
1930- Hussey at Jewel for a loose dog barking and charging at a resident walking his dogs. Dog was unable to be located. He last saw the dog headed toward Brackett in the direction of Island Ave. Dog owner was well prepared to defend himself and his dogs with a walking stick.
2030- met ferry-patrolled Island

Consumer Reports tested popular sunscreens from top manufacturers as well as some from small manufacturers.  All had to have an SPF of at least 30, be broad spectrum (protect against both UVA and UVB rays), and be water-resistant, cost was also considered.  The seven sunscreens that earned recommendations are:
  • Banana Boat's Ultra Defense Max Skin Protect SPF 110 spray, at $1.75 an ounce
  • BullFrog Water Armor Sport InstaCool SPF 50+ spray, at $1.67 an ounce
  • Coppertone Water Babies SPF 50, at $1.38 an ounce
  • Neutrogena Ultimate Sport SPF 70+ lotion, at $2.75 an ounce
  • Target's Up & Up Spray Sport SPF 50 spray, at $0.80 an ounce
  • Walgreens' Well Sport SPF 50 spray, at $1.58 an ounce
  • Walmart's Equate Ultra Protection SPF 50, at $0.56 an ounce
