One thing learned from the recent earth quake was how quickly the 911
system was overwhelmed. Within minutes all available 911 emergency lines were
filled and backed up. This can be very dangerous to those with real
emergencies! Within minutes TV and radio stations had updates about the quake.
We need to remember that 911 is not an information hotline or gossip hub.
Chances are pretty good that if you heard a noise from your house that sounded
like it ejected your furnace through the roof, your not the only one... So check
the furnace if its still there relax and watch the news, if its gone and you can
see the sky from the basement call 911.
